Sadly “remuddled” in the 1970’s for a Laundromat, this solid brick building continues to share its turn of the century architecture. Greek Revival detailing is evident on one side while the front façade was covered with a “Burger King” style mansard roof. Gothic-arched doors and transom-enhanced storefront windows are still present.

Surprisingly, most of the interior is tiled on the floor and half way up the walls. Looking above the dropped ceiling, there is still a tin ceiling. The front lot provides 8 parking spaces. The earliest known use was Greenburg’s Meat Market in an area known as Five Forks. Gentrification is encroaching as homes in the area are being restored and a police precinct with walking patrol is one block away in the Green Street Park.
